Attention span. Attention span. Very poor, my attention span. And society, I must say, is contributing to my delinquency. It’s way too easy to multitask. Now John, you say, you are in control of your own actions, responsible for directing your attention. True. Still it’s a lot harder to stop a car with no breaks when you’re headed down a wet mountain. I’ve no breaks and the rain’s been getting harder all my life. But I can try and will. No laptop at the TV. No old-time radio when I’m doing the books. Uni-tasking. Concentration. Perserverance. It can be learned.
