Imogene: I would rather you didn’t do that.
Ivan: I’ll consider that.
Imogene: Why not just stop?
Ivan: Why not stop asking me?
Imogene: Honestly!
Ivan: If I stop doing this, what will I have to stop doing next?
Imogene: All I said was I’d rather you’d stop.
Ivan: At first, but then it escalated.
Imogene: Because you would not stop.
Ivan: Because I am an autonomous being.
Imogene: You are an inconsiderate being.
Ivan: How can I be inconsiderate when I actually said I would consider it?
Imogene: Thanks for stopping.
Ivan: Don’t thank me, I was done anyway.
