John is 53 and he hangs out at the local grocery store. John buys pens in bulk from Walgreens and his shirt pocket is jammed with them and folded sheets of notebook paper. John sits at a table and writes furiously. “You look busy,” he says to the employees. Sometimes John hands them a wad of papers with movie titles from AMC. John usually has a list of a few items to bring home from the grocery store. John needs help to shop and when his shopper asks about an item he shoots back, “Call Mom,” and sometimes they do.
